Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie Douthit Changes Her Last Name

Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie Douthit has gone through so many changes in the past month, we can barely keep up! Not only is this Southern belle more than three months pregnant with her second child (fingers crossed for a girl this time!), she just got married to her baby daddy, Josh McKee! And speaking of the McKee Clan, it looks like Mackenzie is now a card-holding member.

Yep, our favorite professional cheerleader has changed her Twitter name from Mackenzie Douthit to Mackenzie McKee, so it's safe to assume that she made the official switcheroo at the courthouse. This gal announced her new moniker on August 27, when she tweeted "Finally Changed my name."

Yippie ki-yay! We're so excited, we might burst out into a spontaneous two-step. And by the way, Mackenzie isn't the first Teen Mom star to legally change her name. Teen Mom 2's Leah Messer is now Leah Calvert, and for a while there Jenelle Evans was Jenelle Rogers! You know, until her marriage with Courtland Rogers went up in flames and she switched back to her maiden name.

Are you surprised that Mackenzie ditched the Douthit in favor of McKee? Many married women these days choose to keep their maiden name, but let's not forget that Mackenzie's a super traditional girl. You know, aside from the whole popping out a baby before marriage thing!

Matthew McCann Hospitalized After Freak Foot Accident!

Oh, how the mighty have fallen. And we don't use the word "fallen" lightly — mostly because we're still completely traumatized from that time Teen Mom 3's resident grifter, Matthew McCann (aka Alexandria Sekella's baby daddy), accidentally hurled his sexy self off a cliff. Well, it looks like Matt is once again in a world of pain. Toe pain, to be exact.

Matt was rushed to the hospital on the evening of August 6 when he injured his toe after walking barefoot and slipping off a curb (um … it's called shoes, friend). Luckily his gal pal, Lekota Koch, updated fans about his condition.

"I love going to the ER at 1 a.m. because @MatthewMMcCann rips half his toe off & needs 14 stitches!" she tweeted. "Good thing his mom lives right there."

It looks like Matt will be A-OK, but according to Lekota he has to use crutches and won't be able to walk for two whole weeks! We suggest he spend the time tie-dying t-shirts, braiding hemp necklaces, and possibly investing in a pair of protective footwear.

In other news, it looks like Matt and his mother have kissed and made up! These two have been at odds thanks to Matt's drug-ridden past — but now that he's clean n' sober, motherly-love is once again in the air.

We're curious to see how Alexandria feels about this latest development considering that she's relatively close to Matt's mom...

Here's to wishing for a speedy recovery! #PrayForMattsToes

'Teen Mom 3' Mackenzie Douthit Is Pregnant With Baby Number 2

Teen Mom 3's Mackenzie Douthit hasn't even had her show premiere yet (it starts August 26) and she is ALREADY making major headlines. It turns out, she is pregnant with baby number two AND she is married to Joshua McKee, the father of her first baby Gannon.

Douthit confirmed on both Facebook and Twitter that she is 12 weeks along with baby number two, and while that is very exciting, there could also be some complications. Douthit suffers from Type 1 diabetes. It used to be called juvenile diabetes, and it's so bad that her doctors actually initially wanted her to abort Gannon. When he was born four weeks early, he was already close to 10 pounds. So what does that mean for pregnancy number two?

It likely means a lot of monitoring. Douthit has said in the past that she had to have ultrasounds three times a week with Gannon to measure him and make sure he wasn't getting too big. Some may judge her for getting pregnant again so quickly given the danger and her age (she is 18), but maybe it's the best thing.

As someone who was pregnant at 28 for the first and at 35 for the third, I can attest to the fact that pregnancy gets harder as you age. By getting her pregnancies out of the way earlier, she might be saving her body from a lot of pain later. On the other hand, pregnancy can be very hard on the body and she is young and resilient now, but she won't be forever. Is this going to take its toll?

If I were her mom, I know I would be very concerned about her.

For now, I am sure her doctors are monitoring her carefully and she has clearly decided to go forward with the pregnancy given her Facebook status:

And yes. For everyone wondering, im 12 weeks pregnant....Time to tell the truth.

It's time to be happy for her. And who knows, this could be educational from the show's perspective. Seeing a woman struggle like this with her pregnancy will definitely make for some learning experiences.

Mackenzie is going to have to be extra careful with how she eats and how she takes care of herself this pregnancy. It's no joke. It's also going to be hard on her body given how recent her last pregnancy was. There are no cakes and no cookies for her. Still, she knows how to do this. She has done it once.

Let's just hope she takes good care of herself. Congratulations to the couple.

Do you think this is dangerous?
